Trapped in a Behemoth

First game on 1.73.4 (OSX). After a successful battle in witchspace, I docked with a behemoth. As this was the first game I'd played in three years, the docking was a bumpy one and I lost some slaves and a computer. But apparently I also lost the ability to launch again. I can browse all the docked ...

Or alternately, if you're good at tinkering, you could try to rewire it for USB.
Doing that would not be a case of 'rewiring'. You would need a couple of analog to digital converters to interface with the old pots, then you'd need a microprocessor to negotiate the USB protocol.

Return

Whee, I'm back! I was recently summoned from Ottawa to San Francisco. Sadly my Mac didn't survive the trip and Apple quoted a breathtaking $600 to fix it. So I've spent a ton of time tracking down the offending short on the motherboard. But it's fixed, purring like a kitten, and I'm back. Whee! Unfo...

Star Trek solved this problem a long time ago...

Picard: We barely knew her.
Dr Crusher: Think they'll build another?
Picard: There are plenty of letters left in the alphabet.

Mmm.. delayed cloak good, delayed fuel injection mmm.. not so much. I'll look into both options... Sounds good to me. Fuel injectors aren't a get-out-of-jail free card, I've fuel injected straight into missiles. And Police vipers will fuel inject after me, blasting away until I can get a witchspace...

One would also have to do something about the cloaking device. Taping '0' twice is faster and cheaper than using the injectors.

Note that the computer players also commit friendly fire incidents, as pictured in this thread:

Nah, just pop the cloaking device online for half a second. The missile will lose interest and explode. Better than ECM.

the artificial gravity would prolly crush normal humans... Which is your explanation right there. It's those blue slimy rodents and large bug-eyed lizards who require 50G to prevent heart failure. For the rest of us weakling humans, we walk around in those spiffy G-suits. You did bring yours, didn'...

it's not really a random location where you end up, it's where the trader that left the wormhole-'wake' open went to, so you'll meet it on the other side. And what's really amazing is that the trader's escorts always seem to make it to the other side ahead of you, even if you entered the wormhole b...

I scoop Trumble canisters routinely, but have never obtained a Trumble as a result. The only Trumbles I've seen was when I bought one. That was over 4000 kills ago.

Methinks these Trumble canisters are in need of air holes. Poor little things are invariably dead when I get them.
