Bit of a HOoly Grail this, think the problem is the numerous different download locations of the Oxp's. I'm sure someone with a lot more knowledge than I will give you a more informative answer or you could have a search, it's a fairly regular request. The last few posts on page 2 of this topic shou...

An automatic E-bomb? hmm.... Naww! I think I'll pass, preferring to choose when and where to set it off.

Now an automatic escape pod, I'd whip out the wallet for that.
Now that's a bloody good idea!

You could try the Omega drivers, works ok on my work laptop. At home I use Catalyst 9.5 - installed CCC & stuff, but use display driver + Ati Tray Tools, works fine. I'll vouch for the Omega drivers. My laptop has Radeon Xpress 1100 integrated graphics and would only run Oolite with shaders &am...

So, using the cracking new sticky "Tutorial - Modding the latest ATI/NVIDIA drivers for laptops" posted by Diziet I have finally successfully upgraded my ATI Xpress 1100 drivers to Catalyst Control Centre 9.11 only to find it gives me the square blob stars and more often than not 'display...

I don't know anything about your particular GPU, (and am not about to go looking, as it's 5.15am here - looong Oolite session - hehehe) but if you post your Latest.log file here, we can see what level of shader support your GPU has. That will give us an idea of what can/can't be done... Here you go...

Diziet, you absolute legend, thank you so much for this, I've tried numerous times to upgrade my Radeon Xpress 1100 driver with no joy except to inadvertently corrupt the Catalyst Control Centre! Just followed the instructions and upgraded to the latest (on the AMD site anyway) 9.11 Catalyst Control...

Totally agree, simple and classy.
The star chart idea is great and would, I presume (from a position of little knowledge on these things), be easy to expand upon?

It looks like another hud oxp is using the same file name for its backround graphics. Remove the conflicting oxp from the AddOns folder and all should be well. Oops, apologies, still had MedusaHud & MilHUD in my AddOns, removed them and all's well  TAXI! (To drag my sorry lazy ar*e out of...

I've found, thanks to this site, it's safer to rid yourself of said infestations by skimming through a planets atmosphere.
Takes a little longer but easier to find the right spot and skim until clean.

Had a flick through the shipdata.plist for these ships and it seems that a slight (10%) increase in manoeuvrability is the upside for the capacity loss.
Ah, didn't think to look through the shipdata at the time, mind you it was a bit late for me when this cropped up.
