Hey, where did the in-between ones go? :)

Seriously, nice solid 3d in there! :D

Thanks!

Well, it was just supposed to illustrate the idea so that really skilled 3D people could make a good looking design later. :)

But if I use the sun and the starship there are enough components for all the eight levels. (Harmless has the honour of wearing the "no badge")

I'll update the post above in a while.

So? A perfect symbol for the life and diversity which the Elite federation brings. :)

Seriously, never heard of the starship and the sun insignia?

Very nice! Lovely detailing (and 3D effect) - I even like the sperm...

I like it but. One small thing I would say is everything is angular apart from the insignia (and the eagle head). Maybe a more angular look to the head might be more in keeping with tyhe rest of the design?

Also (a lot more subjective) you could replace the planet with a station, and go with a cobby mk3. That might avoid the "sperm" jibes.

Still I like it! It's very 2000AD

I agree with ClymAngus: making the ship a Cobby would be less ... er ... seminal (and more in keeping with Oolite). And the eagle head needs to be more angular. The heraldic convention would be to have the eagle looking to its right (i.e. the viewer's left) but that's possibly taking nitpicking too far! :)

Or why not even the mk3 and wormhole to make it consistent with seventh's logo design?

Thanks for the positive response everyone :)

Hmm, we've now gone from a sperm to a washing machine...

Oh, now that I do like!

One think about not having a harmless badge is that I thought possibly Ahruman was considering making the winning set of badges the default icons for this forum (providing they scale well) - with no harmless badge...

I'm sure it would be possible to think of more details to add if necessary.
