Inspired by the Buck Godot in Outworld - I built the Spongetta - I've not doing anything with it - and I don't have the time or inclination to do so, but if anybody does want to, there's a link to the zip of the files in my box account in that thread.

Just a bit of fun really... (nice shape for docking though!)

Wow!

Not sure it's a Python, but I love it!
It's a Griff python with two ginormous engines welded on: aka a Python ET Special. And it looks great. :)
Will it have Griff style random skin colours?

I'm presuming you're not referring to my post which you've posted directly underneath...

absolutely right, however, seeing as this poor computer cannot handle shaders I cannot make the random skin colours possible, however, due to some clever texture unwraping on my part it can use a normal griff python texture, so theoretically I can release a random-colour hull version...

Pretty cool! Just one question. Could you please tell me where "a link to the zip of the files in my box account in that thread" is? I haven't been around here for long and I haven't yet got every thread memorized. :)

A quick search leads here.
I would advise stilts for the quagmires, and camels for the snowy hills
And any survivors, their debts I will certainly pay. There's always a way!

Thank you, I haven't yet learned how to find stuff in the phpBB search. I always get crazy results, not related to what I want to find. I need to spend for time working on it.

Ah, neat! I remember someone linking to this a while back, but I couldn't figure out how to get it working with Chromium. But I've recently switched to Firefox (now my computer doesn't overheat and turn off if I watch a Flash video) and it works rather nicely!

Even without the plug-in (which is useful and very convenient) - you can type something like the following directly into Google:

Code: Select all

site:aegidian.org/bb/ "Python ET Special"
And it'll work - however, Google seems to be quite slow - even though there's a Google[bot] on this thread right now and I made my first reference to "Spongetta" two days ago - it still doesn't pull up a single hit...

True enough, although I never remember what to type, and this saves me from having to learn (and type) it! Also, I'll remember where recent things are, so they aren't a problem to locate. (I try to keep track of most things posted here eventually.)

still plugging away at this overcomplicated cobraIII, I had to angle the screen shot to hide all the unfinished bits and brighten it up in photoshop so it wasn't just a muddy grey rectangle with a muddier triangle ship on it

It's looking good though Griff... I'd like one as soon as it's done, please.

Great ship. Your shipset sure is detailed. Too bad it slows my framerate to twelve (until I get in a fight, then the framerate is 2). Need to try it again. Last time, I had 100 other OXPs, so this time it should work.
