Re: Show and Tell (new ships/ ships in progress)
Inspired by the Buck Godot in Outworld - I built the Spongetta - I've not doing anything with it - and I don't have the time or inclination to do so, but if anybody does want to, there's a link to the zip of the files in my box account in that thread.
Just a bit of fun really... (nice shape for docking though!)

It's a Griff python with two ginormous engines welded on: aka a Python ET Special. And it looks great.DaddyHoggy wrote:Wow!
Not sure it's a Python, but I love it!
Will it have Griff style random skin colours?

I'm presuming you're not referring to my post which you've posted directly underneath...Eldon wrote:It's a Griff python with two ginormous engines welded on: aka a Python ET Special. And it looks great.

absolutely right, however, seeing as this poor computer cannot handle shaders I cannot make the random skin colours possible, however, due to some clever texture unwraping on my part it can use a normal griff python texture, so theoretically I can release a random-colour hull version...Eldon wrote:It's a Griff python with two ginormous engines welded on: aka a Python ET Special. Pretty cool! Just one question. Could you please tell me where "a link to the zip of the files in my box account in that thread" is? I haven't been around here for long and I haven't yet got every thread memorized.DaddyHoggy wrote:Inspired by the Buck Godot in Outworld - I built the Spongetta - I've not doing anything with it - and I don't have the time or inclination to do so, but if anybody does want to, there's a link to the zip of the files in my box account in that thread.

A quick search leads here.
I would advise stilts for the quagmires, and camels for the snowy hills

Thank you, I haven't yet learned how to find stuff in the phpBB search. I always get crazy results, not related to what I want to find. I need to spend for time working on it.El Viejo wrote:A quick search leads here.

This may be of interest then.

Ah, neat! I remember someone linking to this a while back, but I couldn't figure out how to get it working with Chromium. But I've recently switched to Firefox (now my computer doesn't overheat and turn off if I watch a Flash video) and it works rather nicely!El Viejo wrote:This may be of interest then.

Awesome. I might even make the BB search my default...El Viejo wrote:This may be of interest then.

Even without the plug-in (which is useful and very convenient) - you can type something like the following directly into Google:Mauiby de Fug wrote:Ah, neat! True enough, although I never remember what to type, and this saves me from having to learn (and type) it! Also, I'll remember where recent things are, so they aren't a problem to locate. (I try to keep track of most things posted here eventually.)

still plugging away at this overcomplicated cobraIII, I had to angle the screen shot to hide all the unfinished bits and brighten it up in photoshop so it wasn't just a muddy grey rectangle with a muddier triangle ship on it

It's looking good though Griff... I'd like one as soon as it's done, please.

Re: Show and Tell (new ships/ ships in progress)
Great ship. Your shipset sure is detailed. Too bad it slows my framerate to twelve (until I get in a fight, then the framerate is 2). Need to try it again. Last time, I had 100 other OXPs, so this time it should work.Griff wrote:still plugging away at this overcomplicated cobraIII, I had to angle the screen shot to hide all the unfinished bits and brighten it up in photoshop so it wasn't just a muddy grey rectangle with a muddier triangle ship on it
