Oolite Bulletins

Scooping is very easy, but I did reset the screen to factory defaults and it got a little brighter. However, it is still very difficult to see the old screen shots, so I think that the brightness of the latest screen shot is the best.

I'm on Panther with an iMac G3 so somewhat old. I agree that it shouldn't be too bright, but a little brighter would be nice.

I should point out that the lines are pretty dark on my CRT and that I didn't even notice that the maps had been changed until a read more.

I didn't think the controls were that hard to use, it's just inverse, and if you don't like it you can always reassign the keys. Also it doesn't matter if there is an atmosphere or not it's the way a ship (or plane in real life) is designed.

I must say for about the first month I played Oolite I didn't want to download OXP's because I didn't like the fact that random people could make whatever they want. The behemoth was the first OXP I downloaded because it seemed widely accepted. I would be shocked if I had more than half the OXP's on...

well you can shoot it for get bounty, you'll get .1 credits. This holds true for all cargo though.

yeah that makes perfect sense, and I agree, that's why I haven't done it myself. Just thought I should point that out for those who would change it.

That would hopefully moderate the power of player uber-ships, and also give you something to aspire to at any point in the game. Of course, you could just decide not to install the OXP :). I see buying a new ship and using the escape pod as the same type of thing, but I guess by buying a new ship you are paying money.

how long have you guys been working on this? I read some of the things that you're putting into this OXP on my thread and it sounds like it took quite a bit of work.

I'm wondering kind of what to do, so even the slightest vaguest would be nice. I've seen the new ships, I've blown them up (except the leviathan). yes you can, I do it sometimes if I just don't want to take the time to aline (sp?) with the asteroid. You can't do a fast dock with an asteroid, but it doesn't matter that much.

usually planets with a higher tech level have a better selection of ships. So if you're on a planet with a low tech level chances are your not going to see any of those new ships.
