Mutating Commander Name
I'm now 'Commander lav' having been 'Commander i' and 'Commander iii', without having changed it myself. Has anybody else seen this or similar?

Pause when messaging.
I really hope that this isn't some interaction with another program -- that'll make it very difficult to track. When oolite plays an alert noise and displays a message, the whole game seems to freeze for about quarter of a second before it does it. This is not usually that painful unless I happen to...

"Offending ship targeted. Moving to intercept"
These were the last words of the plice viper as he flew straight into the navigation beacon in front of the space station. Now he could have meant me. I was being quite offensive, having just offloaded a cargo hold full to the gills of narcotics (it was sooo cheap officer I couldn't resist), but if ...

Scanner updates
Some of these have been brewing in my head since the BBC Micro version of Elite. Some are new. I hope you like them. 1) Scanner zoom reset. With the ability to zoom the scanner in, comes the inconvenience of haveing to zoom it back out. I wonder if a key could be mapped to reset the scanner back to ...

It sounds like there's a tricky decision as to when to stick to the original game and when to branch off and change. I'd love to see *huge* space stations and transporters so that I can have that opening sequence of Star Wars flypast experience. Hopefully nobody will mind if I throw an idea in here....

You could call it a problem with the OS and leave it at that. Having died once with my PSU in a different room, I make sure that I keep an eye on my battery life or play on mains power. A workaround could be to pop into windowed mode when the battery warning pops up but, never having programmed a Ma...

Apple Laptop low battery niggle.
Running Oolite 1.62 full screen on an iBook G4 (OS10.4).
When I get a battery low error, oolite stays full screen, but the (invisible) dialog box gets the keystrokes. So I fly in a level straight line until I plug in the power supply.
(just a niggle)
