Managed to make something go wrong by accidentally doing a make install / make uninstall when I actually had a different version of the same software installed by RPM. You say Oolite works like that, but what about the claim made here, where the programmer clearly claims that the galactic jump is rigged to avoid remote constellations.

Interstellar sunskimmers
You probably all figured this one out long ago, but sunskimmers.oxp generates pirates/traders/etc. in interstellar space.
This can be cured by adding "planet_number greaterthan -1" to each conditions() block in the script.plist provided in the addon.
