It is working, and it is awesome! I got your new version and just did a bit of y tweaking. Everything looks great (using python wireframe just fine). Thanks!! This HUD makes me feel so much tougher in my python. I'm just now saving for a Stingray--it's gonna look good with that too, of course!

The auto package worked to install Oolite 1.65 on my Thinkpad T43 running Ubuntu (Edgy 6.10). Though the game loads, it is utterly unplayable conceivably because of graphics driver issues. I am running the opensource ATI 3d drivers, and I only get 5 or less frames per sec in Oolite on my lappy. I ha...

I used the auto package to install Oolite 1.65 in Ubuntu (dapper 6.06). Yes, I get the background terminal, too. It gives a lot of helpful information, if you care to look at it. But I usually don't care to look at it, so I minimize it or I move it to another desktop. I prefer to play Oolite windowe...

I'm playing 1.65 on Ubuntu. The backslash key for me changes targets in the advanced space compass. Yeah the backslash is the one where the top of the slash is to the left of the bottom of the slash. :)

yeah, I second this request! I would like tighter cross hairs for all the models. And the mining laser cross hair.... not only is it huge, but it looks like a German Cross. That's not really a critique in itself, but really, it's freakin' huge.

hi Capt, I think Fighter Hud Mk II is even more sweet. I'm still having a bit of trouble getting it all to line up. I'm running Ubuntu linux with nvidia drivers, Oolite 1.65. I play Oolite windowed at 1280x1024. I can tweak the hud overlay to get it perfectly flush with the bottom of the window, but...

thanks for the great info. I wonder if they realized that their pseudo random system was going to cause some hilarity but that was inevitable because the low storage and memory capabilities of the time necessitated such a system.

OK, this was my fault. shift+d (D) does work. Previously, I was initiating auto dock sequence and trying to instant dock afterwards (that is, press c first, then try D).

Now I'm flying fast.

Thanks

Alright, I'm on a roll finding these so how about this one:

Arexe (Galaxy 1)

"The world Arexe is fabled for its exciting sit coms and its inhabitants' ancient loathing of sit coms."

Who wrote the logic for these things??

Hilarious planet description

OK, I usually don't enjoy the planet descriptions that much, but at least this one made me chuckle:

Maises (Galaxy 1)

"Maises is reasonably notable for its fabulous Maisesian lethal water but beset by lethal disease."

hi, thanks for the reply. Yes, I have that, too. Is that supposed to initiate the auto docking skip sequence (instant dock)?

thanks

autodock skip sequence disabled

Hi, this is my first post on these forums. Let me preface it by saying that I spent a lot of time playing Elite Plus as a child (American, too!). I loved that game like no other. Rediscovering it as Oolite has been immensely satisfying. I'm enjoying the bonus materials a great deal. So far I have be...
