Time Acceleration
I seem to be unable to find anything that states what controls turn on/off time acceleration (or whatever you want to call it) could some kind commander relieve me of my ignorance? Thank you.

I think it's been mentioned somewhere on this forum I came across that Time acceleration is available on the newest versions and activated by pressing "P" and pressing Up/Down keys for accelerating or slowing down time.
I cannot go into specifics, because i'm still using an old version that (AFAIK) don't have it

Correction I found the post "hj1an" meant, time acceleration really works.

Thanks for finding it. I have a correction to make too, it's actually left/right arrow keys and not up/downMcSpider wrote:Correction I found the post "hj1an" meant, time acceleration really works.

Just tried that out .............but can't see the essential difference between this & a ship that does, say, 5C
well I can see the differences from a technical PoV, but not re. gameplay: you arrive at (or bypass) your destination (or obstacle) 5 times faster than if flying a lightspeed ship - a facility studiously avoided in ship design. However, seems ideal for developing some things so thanks for the pointer, I will make use of it immediately

With the use of time acceleration, comes a potential need for this little utility.
