The "Station at the end of the universe" from save in flight is a thing at a distance, but that thing is more logical.. a station.
Does it have a space bar? And that famous restaurant?
I didn't find them by the normal means. PS.target.explode() sadly yields no barrels of Pan-Galactic Gargle Blaster or Obliging Meat Doners.
So the end of the universe is not in Feudal.

Put those barrels down! You don’t know where they’ve been!

And, shh! No one is supposed to know about the barrels.

Note to self: Investigate LRS and work out how to nerf it.

I now get the landing sites showing on the scanner upon launch from Digebiti station, which is great.
I get the flashing beacon and the landing instructions.
But I fly straight through the beacon without landing.
Do I need to do something else e.g. request landing permission?
Did you get any comms messages from "Digebiti Planetary Control" as you approached?

The order of comms messages is:
1. "For planet-side landing please approach and your automated landing clearance request will be triggered."
2. "Landing clearance request received." followed immediately by "Please await confirmation before beginning final approach.".
3. "Landing clearance granted." followed immediately by "Please approach the ground control interface point slowly, at less than 100 meters per second."

Which messages did you not receive?

I recieved all messages. I think MrFibble was right and I approached too low below the beacon. I had initially received a meesage saying my approach was too steep so probably over compensated. I'll have too try and improve my flying skills!

Nooo! please don't. It's been de-fanged enough with the multi-hop being b0rked already. Debug toolz it is! I find bugz fast, and no using it when playing for fun. Mucha handy! No breaka da groovy gear pleeze!!

And THAT is the last time I will EVER channel ja-ja!!

It’s alright. I looked at how it works, and there’s no real way I can hide the station barrels. More than what I’m already doing anyway

The Diqudi Royal Cruiser, affectionately called "the ROC". This ship will be featured in a chart three mission someday. It can just barely traverse through standard docking ports.

I have a couple abandoned Wings models. Abandoned not because I tired of them or modeling no longer was fun. No, I just could not justify the time spent on these projects. One is a fairly large craft that I had dubbed the "Diqudi Royal Cruiser". The backstory had to do with the feudal royal houses on Diqudi, a planet in galaxy three. The other craft is a remake of SimonB's Cat Mk II, which I always thought has great lines. I would guess it is about the size of a viper. It is approximately 50x18x70 meters. I cut down on the poly count and generally reshaped it somewhat so it wouldn't look exactly like his. I had started designing gun subents for it when work was halted. I would say that both could meet the criteria you listed.

I would be willing to unwrap the models to produce the UV images but perhaps someone else would offer to do the texturing.

This was going to be the Diqudi Royal Cruiser. The projection on top was imagined as royal quarters and throne room.

CaptSolo, is this still available?

And is there any more information on your backstory?

Thinking a bit more about the arrival at the spaceport, one wants to give the player a chance to visit the commodities market
Image

I currently have feudal commodities: "Silk Top Hats","Palanquins","Ceremonial Swords","Houppelande","Poulaine","Pelisse"

Any more suggestions?

Preferably split between those produced on Industrial worlds and those produced on agricultural worlds.

Thy eminence...

Are these "New Cargoes" (and thus derivatives of textiles/luxuries etc.) or are they actual new commodities for the F8 screen?

Not for F8 just 'special cargo' for missions such as Delivery and Tribute. Thought different commodities when transporting from industrial and agricultural worlds.

Also, I've added G7 & 8 to planetfall2 and also added the landing sites:

Tibecea
La Serenissima Port (Capital City) - also seat of the Royal Court
Phibo Nacci Port (Cathedral City)
Arsenale (Shipyards)

Aronar
van Duijvenbode Port (Capital City)
van de Spiegel Port (Royal Court)
Casino Straits (City)
Giles's Grotto (Shrine)

Did you have named landing sites in mind for Tibedied?

Tibedied Landing Sites

The only lore I could find was in Famous Planets: This planet is most notable for Tibediedian Arma brandy. This brandy sometimes contains a larva which is deadly to some species. The planet is mostly covered in dense jungle and is a magnet for nature lovers. The attraction is strengthened by it being the only green planet in the sector. Around the poles, there are flat areas with cities. The Royal House of Tibedied welcomes travellers and traders who make planetfall after visiting the tournaments at the Royal Hunting Lodge in orbit.

Nothing really to build on that I could see, so I was just going to leave it to LittleBear's random generator (generates new ports of call for each new Jameson visiting for the first time).

Industrial Feudal Tribute

How about gadgets such as Armillary Spheres, Astrolabes, Orreries, Quadrants/Sextants/Octants and the Torquetum.

To do:
More blurb - cousin Digby, Great Aunt whoever, Ptolemy, World being flat, Witchspace Lobster, etc.

Attack - Hang on there, Benedict - I need to locate that chappie on my armillary sphere! I can’t find where he is with respect to the sphera obliqua! You can’t pot him until I have him well and truly nailed down first!
	- Benedict! Clobber the crumb! Press that red button and keep on pressing it!
	- Araminta! Watch this! Benedict’s going to try the Plangent Chorale evolution on him! Or is it the The Oncoming Wings of the Hereafter? <Pause> Benedict! Shouldn’t you be turning left?
	- Benedict - that ghastly gremlin is at two o’clock on my armillary sphere - I say! Why not whizz over up towards the azimuth and transmogrify him into mince-meat!
	- No! I dropped my armillary sphere. Hang on a sec, I need to pick it up before we get our own back! Brake!
	- Cholly, darling! Stop waving that confounded spheroid around the place! They can’t see you and you’re distracting poor Benedict!

Chatter - So where is this sphere of fixed stars that I was reading about in Ptolemy’s Almagest - is it behind that purple one over there?
	- Forwards, Benedict - and don’t speed up! <Pause> No! Stop it! We can’t go that way! It’s unlucky today - the knucklebones of negation nixed it as a nasty navigational nightmare…
	- Araminta, darling… would you pass me that gin and tonic please? Did you add the slice of lime? No? We’re out of fresh lime yet again? Those new-fangled ship’s chandlers are next to useless, what?
	- Fiddlesticks! Where is that page in Ptolemy’s Almagest?
	- Cholly, would you please put that book down! How can I tell you about Arabella’s victory in Extreme Dominoes when you keep on waving it around in the air like that? Use a fly-swat, for goodness’ sake!
	- So, Cholly, my love. I’m standing looking out of the view screen. I can’t see anything that looks even vaguely like one of those epicycles or eccentrics that you were talking about at the tea-party. The only eccentric seems to be in here…
	- No! Benedict! You can’t play the ace of orbs with that hand! You must lead with a snark - preferably a high-ranking one.
	- I’m sorry, Araminta. I forgot to add the ice. Would you like an olive with it? We have some super-colossal ones from Bemaera! Benedict has a cousin aboard the station there, who sells them to that Murgh vintner chappie for a small fortune.
	- What do you mean, I’m broadcasting our conversations all over the cosmos? I can’t be! Look, the magenta microphone muff is on! And, Araminta, stop giggling! You will give Benedict ideas! Serious, now. What did you say that switch does? Squawk!
	- Darling? Would you like that cocktail now? What sort of bitters would you like - one of those murky Murghian mysteries? - and do you prefer a cherry or an olive?
	- What ho! Any chance you can help us out? We’re looking for a vellum copy of Phibo Nacci’s third treatise on the numerology of the numinous! The bit where he gets serious about sequences. Or possibly his work on theological arithmetics? I can have it returned to you if you leave me a forwarding address…
	- What ho! Any chance you can lend a hand? I’m out of that Phibb’s patent Platinum polish for my armillary sphere. Would you have some to spare by any chance? Pater always said that if one doesn’t keep them polished, that they start going mouldy.

Attacked - I’ll report you to my dreaded cousin Digby. He’ll have you sorted out! He’s a Duke, you know…
	- Try to prang us, would you! We’re going to give you the jolly old what-for!
	- That one! There!! Benedict - go get him!
	- You blighter! You just made me spill my cup of tea! You just wait until we nobble you! You’ll be laughing out of the other side of your face then…
	- Benedict! There - he’s over there - three degrees off the ecliptic and just 377 cavezzi away!
	- Clobber him! He’s over that side! On the right! <pause> What do you mean, I’m upside down?
	- Araminta! Stop it! I dropped my armillary sphere again! Give it to me! I need to tell Benedict what to do! <Pause> I do hope it’s not dented…
	- You, sir, are about to be turned into the blot on your very own family eschutcheon! How dare you take a potshot at us!
	- Oh no! Not again! That’s the seventh of those confounded blighters today. Are they created by spontaneous generation or something? Benedict! Blast him!
	- Cholly! Sit down for heavens sake! And fasten your seat-belt. How can poor Benedict concentrate on the pug-uglies when you act like that?

Launch - Goodness gracious me! Just look down at that planet! It looks curved, what? Maybe those scientific johnies are right after all… I’d always thought it was flat!
	- Oh no! We’re out of tea! We forgot to restock… Araminta, should we turn back and nab some?
	- I’m dreadfully sorry, Benedict! Should we turn around and go back in again?
	- That was a super shot Araminta. But should we really be practicing Real Tennis on the bridge? I think you might have hit a button or something on the Astrogation Boards. <Pause> What did you say, Benedict? We’ve just lansh’d?
	- Benedict - do we have time to nip over to the Dismal Deserts down beneath? I need to let Eustace know that my inter-city palanquin needs a polish if he’s planning to borrow it. And I’d rather not broadcast it to the whole solar system! <Pause> Sorry? Benedict! What was that you just said? <Click>
	- Chaps! Listen in! Keep away from the bar on the 13th level of the Coriolis - the owner is an utter spiv! They water down the whisky and their tonic water has no sparkle. Avoid it like the plague!

Flee - That way, Benedict! Try just going straight for a hundred cavezzi before you start dodging, can you? I just need to find my armillary sphere. It should be around here somewhere…
	- Araminta! Make for the Life-boat! This one looks as though it could get nasty. I dropped some tea on my Teach Yourself Tactics primer!
	- I’m sorry, m’lud. I would try an evasive technique, but you should rather sit down first.
	- Goodness! If we can get ahead of him, Benedict, you can press that orange button of yours again and see if that nobbles him on the noggin!
	- Put your foot on it, old boy!
	- I’m sorry, Araminta, but we just can’t stop here! We’re doing a runner, what? We’ll have to wait a tad before it’s safe to look for your tantalum earring.

Jump - I say! Benedict, if we’re going to Inonri, don’t we need to be facing the sun?
	- Araminta! Are you properly strapped in? Might it be better to stow away the cocktail glass rather than leave it on the table? <Pause> Oh! Do you think that the ice will melt in witchspace?
	- Are we ready folks? Araminta? Do you have your Ebortsa’a charm? Did you rub it? Benedict? Have you checked the uridium flows in the reactor? Good-oh! Benedict, go for it!
	- Is this the button showing the Rock Hermit locations?
	- <Bonk!> <Bonk!> That blasted mosquito won’t keep still for a millisecond! <Bonk!> I always knew that this copy of the Hermit’s Almanac would come in useful! <Bonk!> OOps! Should I not have done that? Is it jammed?
