Am I the only one that ignored the moth and actually read the log entries to understand the code that was being executed?

I noticed even back then speed was an issue...

Didn't ignore the moth, but did read the code and thought "huh, relays" and it reminded me of the signal box near Derby railway station where all the relays that control the interlocking are and the noise they make and wondered how many relays were controlled at 033 and if that meant Output 33 or something else.

Well, I for one am quite happy to accept the moth as the original 'bug'. I'd hate to think it gave it's life in vain - let it keep its place in History!

I agree, even if it really went down another way, the story of a moth in a relay is classic, an actual bug that gave rise to the term we use so readily today, without even considering its origins.
