Case closed, then! :)

To uninstall oolite-trunk, just execute the uninstall script that resides under the "Oolite-trunk" folder.
This will not affect any AddOns, saved games or snapshots.

Cheers.

Reason: Clarification on how to uninstall oolite-trunk (i.e. nightly)

Just to let you know that my problems are (mostly) fixed too. I am an old codger who's forgotten most of the unix he used at university 20 years ago. I extracted the .tgz file to /opt/ and then just ran "oolite" from the terminal, and somehow it turns out that a version 1.65 from the repository was still somewhere on my system and ran (I don't know how it wasn't purged when I tried to remove everything earlier). Anyway, I have now run the .run prog and have oolite-trunk running properly, with the classic BBC config, and the right-left yaw controls working correctly. Thanks for the prompts.

Cheers

I resemble that remark... welcome aboard.
I would advise stilts for the quagmires, and camels for the snowy hills
And any survivors, their debts I will certainly pay. There's always a way!

Heh - we could set up a food/furs - computers/machinery trade route, except the witchspace corridor along the A46 has serious maintenance issues at the moment :lol:

@tenorman1971
I assumed you had resolved most of your oolite issues by installing, even if not properly done, the nightly.
That's why I closed the case. :oops: Thanks for confirming that it works for you too.
