Re: [Solved] Problems running Oolite under Ubuntu 11.04 Natt
Just to let you know that my problems are (mostly) fixed too. I am an old codger who's forgotten most of the unix he used at university 20 years ago. I extracted the .tgz file to /opt/ and then just ran "oolite" from the terminal, and somehow it turns out that a version 1.65 from the repository was still somewhere on my system and ran (I don't know how it wasn't purged when I tried to remove everything earlier). Anyway, I have now run the .run prog and have oolite-trunk running properly, with the classic BBC config, and the right-left yaw controls working correctly. Thanks for the prompts.
Cheers

Heh - we could set up a food/furs - computers/machinery trade route, except the witchspace corridor along the A46 has serious maintenance issues at the momentSmivs wrote:I'm such an old duffer I can't even remember what I've forgotten

@tenorman1971
I assumed you had resolved most of your oolite issues by installing, even if not properly done, the nightly.
That's why I closed the case. Thanks for confirming that it works for you too.
