I was in the Shopping-Mall and was driving the shopping cart fast (I'm a good driver).
Then suddenly a fat Woman (sorry) cut off my way and I had to break.
And then I said loud "Hyperspeed Mass Locked" !
But I could turn left and escaped... Phew.

Who can make an OXP for the Cockpit makers ?
In the Topic Homemade Space-Flightsimulator Oolite Cockpit Panel , I and hopefully others start to make flight control panels. Now we would like to switch on a big red light on red alert, but nobody knows how to make an OXP  (or has time for it), that calls an external script like "RedAle...

Re: Homemade Space-Flightsimulator Oolite Cockpit Panel
Uff, to create a new OXP is a lot of work to learn. (Translate an existing OXP is one thing, make a new one is something completely different  ) Is there an OXP-Programmer who can write a little Interface ? Very simple, just write the alert condition to a file. Or more flexible, just cal...

Re: Homemade Space-Flightsimulator Oolite Cockpit Panel
Thank you all ! *bow* WANT. Wouldn't it be interesting if you could get Arduino to react to certain things like missile launch, condition level, or other things? You mean a real Autopilot ? Some simple action are easy, just place a red foil over a photodiode and place it over the red light on the sc...

Re: For Us Geeks
Depends on the time frame you're thinking ! When the world economy dies, and it will die as all the other bubbles before, then you can't run the "Windows Activation". Mac's still work without Big Brother. Then later, the machines will rise, the Mankind is just too dumb... They don't even c...

I wanted to develop a new class of ship for Oolite. What do I need to know to move towards that goal? Maybe you take an existing OXP of a ship and just edit it ? (I took the italian translation, used the structure and translated it to german) I like, no, I love Python, it's easy and powerful, it gi...

"Aha": The Advanced Space Compass is mapped on "\" which is easy on US-Keyboards, now i mapped it on "k". (Buried deep into the opened OSX app: Contents/Resources/Config/keyconfig.plist) And further: The station buoy marker is NOT in the center of the triangle! (A littl...

(Or at least the Cobra MK.3 and the Coriolis Station)
It's cool to make models after that in real, e.g. paper models.
