Re: GalCorp Mission Question
I don't see any way to complete that mission. But at least a forced misjump using an energiebomb and flee, is an easy way to earn money. The respawn rate of thargoids is much too high. After killing all Thargoids with an energiebomb i have 12 Sec, before the next wave appears. Enough time to escape...

Re: GalCorp Mission Question
I have the mission to recover a black box between two systems in interstellar space. The question is, how can I get there? Until now I was never able to find any of the mission targets. Is the extension working at all? To get to interstellar space, set course for the other system and hit H, then, w...

One more on a similar theme. Variables leaking into email? https://i.postimg.cc/dtF9bbDj/oolite-054a.gif On accepting the mission, just like the last one of these, no "special computers" were put in my hold. I have zero tons. Of course, when I find the ship, they expect computers I don't h...

Re: Physical Dimensions of "Space Trader's Flight Training Manual"?
A5 is of course the likely standard for the BBC manual (as Wildeblood points out) but not for the other two on account of the Firebird box being A5 rather than the manual itself. The BBC manual won't fit inside the Spectrum or C64 boxes without suffering abuse. Back in the mid nineties, I helped a ...

Re: [Beta] Release of Telescope 2.0
I note that the name of the phantom is variably different from its genuine counterpart. Sometimes it looks more like a variable name, camelcaps with underscores. All satellite phantoms are called RSSatellite_location. All phantoms appear on the ASC at short range ~4m. Pardon me if I've mixed zeros/o...

Re: Hull damage
When docked, check the F3 screen and page down to near the end of the list. You should have the option to buy a Maintenance overhaul.

Re: [Beta] Release of Telescope 2.0
I stumbled on this viewtopic.php?p=296041#p296041, which on deeper inspection appears to be a telescope issue.
TLDR: Visual target of ASC entities (nav beacons and buoys/fuel stations) also appear at near zero distance on the ASC and sometimes scanner too.

Re: Navigation Beacons MFD
I'm seeing some entities listed on this MFD at zero distance soon after jumping into a system. For example, a few systems ago there was an RSS satellite which was listed at zero and c.250k, in another system I've a fuelStation satellite listed at zero and 259.5km. The 'extra' listing is not on the s...

Re: [WIP] GalCop Missions
Took a pirates for hire mission. The mathematics in f5f5 appears sketchy in a familiar way. Steal 7 cargo canisters from traders in Lerela (9 units in cargo hold) On returning to the originating station I handed in the cargo and this was taken: 1 Food 1 Radioactives 2 Luxuries 1 Machinery 1 Alloys 1...

Yes! I've some (arguably) normal things to do for the weekend. Will do the github gubbins at my next 'proper' sitting.

Re: [Beta] Release of Telescope 2.0
Question : Oolite's various converters are written in Python 2.7 I presume that they are used by the Griffs and Killer Wolfs of this world to convert ship model files to oolite's ".dat" format Will they need tweaking to work with Python 3.0? Reference: Oolite converters Apologies if this ...

Re: [WIP] new GUI for debug console
So just for fun. :) Better yet if I can make it work on alpine x86!! That was far easier than expected. VM with 256M ram, 4g HD, and 1 CPU. Installed alpine x64. Didn't take long to figure out what was needed to build the bundle. Installed the resulting tarball. It appeared in the menu, and worked. ...
