Re: Joysticks

I have an old wired xbox 360 controller (x854237 / e-c015-05-4542 according to the back scribbles). Just tested it and it works with Oolite 1.90 on windows 10 (22H2). I started Oolite, then inserted controller. No joystick, but after relaunching Oolite it showed up and I was able to configure it. Pi...

From the depths of ... etc. (Treadomancy)

For those interested in trying E:D, it's free in the Epic games store till November 26 2020.

I'm installing Oolite on my new game-machine, but it takes all sorts..

EDIT: Are these original or processed? They have a ComicBook-like feeling.
They have 8-bit colour depth instead of the normal 24-bit. That explains the pixelisation effect. Still looks cool though.

Re: Progress

I would prefer option 2). Some basic data is better then none. At least I can view the ship up close. Although this is also on the demoships list, the library is easier to use. One can always edit in a description if it becomes an eyesore. I imagine a copy-paste DIY update will added to the relevant...

Yep, been there done that. Better safe than sorry when it comes to (possible) Q-bombs.

Pity that video doesn't work any more. I would have liked to have watched it. !m! This is the video I think. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wptn5RE2I-k That's a low quality version, a better one is from 9:30 in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RMYyTjyWWlI Also an Ali-G version: https://...

Re: E-reader advice

(there are more households in the UK which own two cars than there are households which own two novels) Am I the only one who finds this shocking, even frightening? :o I must be quite the exception then - I have no car and at least 25-30 novels in the house :D. Maybe I'm just biased, but I find thi...

Knowing where trouble comes from is a very large part of survival. I purchased a [wiki]Scanner Targeting Enhancement[/wiki] at the first opportunity...

Re: The new MacBook Pro

Just a short test today. The salesperson was in front of the mac and hardly let me do anything... Does gameplay in the nightly, as opposed to 1.76.1 , look appropriately high-resolutiony? (The splash screen should also be sharper.) They both look very sharp. I forgot to check the splash screen, sorr...

It could work, but I don’t really have time for international travel right now. :-) I actually meant if someone did so, however ... oh, there are no Apple retail outlets in Sweden. Your nearest is in Amsterdam . If it's still needed, I can try it the coming Thursday. I asked the local salesperson i...

Just downloaded them and made the jump to G4. I was hanging around in G3 for to long anyway.

They are totally Beautiful! My frame rate is hardly changed too, so that's a bonus.

Re: Oops. I sold the cargo I was meant to deliver.

Just before I switched to a Caduceus, I got a couple of tonnes of gold and platinum, with about 10 kg of gems in contracts on the cheap. Took more then 20 jumps to sell it. I made a bigger profit by not full-filling the contracts and anyway, I was ready for a career switch. 8)
