Re: Oolite 1.80 crashing at random intervals
Ok, I've tried the above... set ulimit to unlimited, and edited oolite-wrapper to include gdb on line 69. I ran Oolit, flew around a bit and this time it froze the laptop completely, rather than drop out into Unity. Had to reboot the laptop. Now, although I can see all the oolite folders and their c...

Re: Oolite 1.80 crashing at random intervals
Hi,
no, that hasn't worked, and I've also tried it on 'minimum detail' or whatever it's called. It still drops me out onto the Unity desktop.

Oolite 1.80 crashing at random intervals
Hi, I've been merrily cruising between Isinor and Ensoreus all evening, trying to get some cash together, and my new install of 1.80 has crashed 3 times so far (once while being attacked by a large party of pirates, once in witchspace during a thargoid attack and once whilst with my feet up drinking...

Re: Problems upgrading to Oolite 1.80
Hi Lone_Wolf,
Thanks, that worked a treat.
I am running the software on an old Dell laptop which is very much a 32 bit machine. One day I'll get something a little more up-to-date!!

Problems upgrading to Oolite 1.80
Hi, I am trying to upgrade from 1.77 to 1.80. I have tried using the command oolite-upgrade but I get the message 'command not found'. I have uninstalled my copy of Oolite 1.77, and downloaded the 1.80 installer from the http://www.oolite.org download page. It is sitting in my downloads folder as oo...

BGS has crippled my install of Oolite
Hi everyone, I am a relative newcomer to Oolite, but was an avid player of Elite back in the 80's. I am running Oolite on a Dell Inspiron 1300 laptop with Ubuntu 14.04 as the OS. Oolite has been running well until today when I installed BGS-A1.9.oxp, Cabal_Common_Library1.7.oxp and Snoopers2.5.oxp. ...
