Actually, keyconfig.plist is one of the two plists that are not cached (the other is logcontrol.plist), so any changes made to it are read immediately by Oolite, even without the Shift key pressed.

Well spotted - it's been updated.

Incidentally, after you make changes to your local keyconfig.plist make sure you hold down the Shift key during the next start of Oolite.

When you say 'nothing' do you mean to say literally nothing appears on the terminal after you run it apart from another command prompt? No error messages at all? What about in the Oolite log files? (~/.Oolite/Logs by default). Also, "/home/.oolite/oolite.app/oolite" is a rather odd directo...

Hi beezee, and welcome to the board! 1. There is no 'recommended' pack - completely your decision how close you want to stay to Elite or how different a gaming experience you want. Personally I run some of the government-specific ones (Anarchies, Commies, Dictators) then some to make empty space not...

Considering default Ubuntu Oolite is still at 1.65 you must have compiled it yourself. How did you compile it (make or dpkg-buildpackage?) and if the former, where did you install it? If the latter, it's possible the upgrade removed it for some reason (shouldn't have but you never know). You can try...

Just a thought here, but why don't you guys use some sort of source control system to coordinate work?

I'm not proficent with linux, but I think it can't be switched off. No it can't. Suggestions about these case-bug-lists: make them into a wiki page, ordered by OXP, file, and then alphabetised, including the latest version of the OXP in which the bug was found. Would make it much quicker for people...

I must say I was -very- excited when X-BtF was announced, even going so far as to upgrading a PC specifically for it. I was very disappointed at the Sector-based gameplay, so it definitely was not an Elite replacement. Still, the franchise remains amongst my favourite games. (Haven't got the new one...

Launch clearance already exists in a way - your ship clock is is wound forwards by 10 minutes whenever you launch. So while its not explicit you can imagine it happening.

Also good a idea from Disembodied about having equipment repaired for free. What about to be able to select crew members with different tasks that give certain benefits. An engineer would give you free repairs, better engine performance (speed increase). A weapons officer would give you jamming of ...

Having now managed to test the package on another machine I discovered that there's a couple of DLLs which needed updating/replacing. I've also added the required DTDs in the case where your machine can't access them online. Also changed the titlebar version string to highlight the fact that this is...
