... A Black Monk ship who'd accidentally fired on a Navy ship: there were about 10 of them, all pounding away and that money-grabbing murderer. I joined in when I could see that the Monk was in the midst of a cloud of glowing red plasma weapons and wouldn't be likely to take revenge.
Oh yes!

Boulders
I ram boulders! Now I've got a mil laser at front and back, the mining laser has to go on one side. Using it to break up asteroids into boulders is fine, but if I break them up to splinters, they're floating off all over the place by the time I line up with them. I discovered by accident that bumpin...

Hospital ship
Maybe your hospital ship's livery, instead of being inspired by a religion of the mythical planet "Earth" (there is no sign of such a planet in all the 8 galaxies as far as I know), could be that of one of the religious icons from the Tionsala (?) orbital graveyard, those great religioons ...

SHipyard
Thinking about your shipyard, AmenBrick, I'm wondering if there's some way of having it kind of outside Not sure how it'd work: a kind of "forecourt" with lots of ships lying around (which, I guess, would have to match the ships for sale when you're in the docked state - could be difficult...

Food price rises
It's all down to the credit crunch and the high price of Quirium!.... :D Maybe we need an organic spacefarmers market? I've had a similar experience, dealing with a little trouble around Zaria a while back... I wondered if the prices were built-in the that particular OXP, or if it were just random. ...

Gems and yaws
Thanks for "yaw" (argh!) advice Dr Beeb - I'll fit a mining laser on the side and do some proper mining again... using mil lasers for mining isn't hugely rewarding. As for gem prices, Neo Jesus, anything cheaper than around 17 cr is fairly good. Convenience Stores always seem to have cheap...

Advanced space compass
If you have an advanced space compass, you can look for the nearest rock hermit - they've got a few asteroids around. And if you've got the Dictatorships OXP installed, there are usually a bunch around the AstroFarm. And, of course, the space prisons (also in Dictatorships?) are surrounded by astero...

searchin'
Urkh! That sounds like some kind of Unix search... maybe even.... gasp ...regex!
Anyone got an idea for a grep(?) command that'll search inside the OXP packages on a 10.4 mac?
Cheers

Can't scoop escape pod
Running 1.71.2 on OS 10.4. Encountered (near a station) an escape capsule that was yellow on the radar rather than white. The ID said "Escape Capsule". Tried to scoop it anyway, but I just bashed it (towards the planet actually... oops). It didn't blow up thoug - just hurtled planetwards.....

Severe punishment
I've often read "the player IS the ship". So I'm guessing that there's no way of serious criminals ending up in an astromine convicts ship? With no money and having to buy (or wait) their time out, or escape from under the noses of the hovering Vipers? Might be a fun OXP for the "been...

My reputation went up pretty quickly after doing a few deliveries. Does one's legal status have any effect on value of contracts offered?

deep space
I do wonder what all these people will be doing out there in deep space though? Pirates won't be waiting in places where they don't expect victims, and people tend to be traveling to somewhere. We've probably all switched on the jump drive to see how small the planet goes, but do we wa...

carrier market reputation
Hi, I've just jumped into galactic sector three, and my excellent reputation (and income) as a carrier of precious metals and gemstones seems to have vanished: I'm not getting offered those 60,000 cr paycheques any more to deliver things. Is this a game feature (ie, you need to build a reputation in...

Laser display problem in 1.7.2
Thanks for constantly improving a great game. I hope this bug report helps: I've just installed 1.7.2 on iMac G4 1.5Ghz. During dogfights I notice that impact flashes (when I'm shooting at things) don't always display properly, so it's hard to tell if I'm hitting the target. I can't work out the con...

whew!
That's impressively fast - don't you guys have to work? (I'm working at home... really!). I'll give the new version a go.
Imagine if all support was as fast - maybe Charles Leadbetter (I filmed one of his talks last night) is right about the "open source revolution"?
Thanks
