Re: why is the forum password requirement so strict?

Dagnammit! Pretty much all other forums I'm on share the same password so I can remember it. Hmm, when one of those sites gets hacked, it means they have access to all your other accounts. And because of lot of people re-use passwords, hackers are prepared for that. I must say that I don't know my ...

Possibly because this forum was hacked last new year's eve. The rules may have been tightened after the updated BB was installed.

why is the forum password requirement so strict?

Dagnammit! Pretty much all other forums I'm on share the same password so I can remember it. But because this forum has stricter rules I have to use something else. I think it's actual stricter than my bank account! So of course I keep forgetting this password and have to send off for a new one. Of ...

No additional requirement - just press "i". The key is named key_map_info in keyconfig.plist.
Only just discovered this very function the other day. Very handy!

It's the first ship you can seriously do cargo contracts in...just remember that extra 15 TC add-on because that lets you get slightly more contracts.

Hey, that looks great! Especially since that is my first upgrade. I like the Cobra Mk III too (",)

Finally upgraded for the first time

Been busy and haven't played in a while. This game takes away the hours very quickly :D SO had a good session the other day. Finally realised I had enough to trade in the Cobra for a Python. Was umming and ahhing (like it was real life!) because the Python is a lot slower. But so much more cargo spa...

Re: New Player Question...

I like your signature danny_galaga. How is life treating you in the corps by the way. :P Wondering if anyone would notice! Funny thing is, about that time, I hadn't tried to salvage anything, and I didn't know how, so I just crashed into a container thinking that would do it  Now I know you go...

Re: New member- HI!

Hi Dan G, Sorry but I get a bit upset sometimes. Any way play away. Don't worry about it! Nice to meet enthusiastic people (",) If you think about it though, isn't Elite about being one (or a combination) of three or four different types of profiteer? That is- Trader, Bounty Hunter, Pirate, Sm...

Re: New member- HI!

Welcome aboard Danny. I'm assuming Galaga is a nod to the 80s? Cheers, Drew. Yep, I come to this point from a more 'arcade' background. When I signed up to a forum for the first time, it was BYOAC which is arcade related. I actually prefer the game Galaxian, but I thought Danny Galaxian didn...

Status Quo

Enjoying this so far. The odd grammatical error aside, it's a bloody good read! I'm sure I've missed a few, but I'm enjoying the pop references. The elegant reference to 'blue screen of death' is a good example. As is the nod to the Magrathean automated defence system- "Galcop is gratified that...

Re: Inflight sound plays from startup. Is this normal?

When you startup Oolite, the game already creates the lave system with all the actions. The player status at that moment is: STATUS_START_GAME. I assume the in-flight music is the default one. But you are right, it would probably more correct to play the 'docked' sound then. On the 'docking' soundt...
