humph! i dunno how Oolite is coded, but it seems very slanted against the player!
jumped into Zaonce last night. i have the Eagle MkII oxp, and this is one of the places i get an eagles' nest when i come out of witchspace. so, as usual i just hit the injectors and take off before they lock me up. now, just as i clear them, a puirple lollipop comes haring towards me : i check it, cos i'm Offender at the mo, and it's one of my own GalCop Vampires. She's heading straight at the Eagles tho, and after a moment's debate i decided that since she's one of my baby's the least i can do is help out and even the odds. she's away in a flash tho, far faster than my Python and as i'm catching up 9saving my fuel for my injectors) 3 more cops, then 2 more appear and i find myself heading towards one mega space barney. anyways, as i arrive, there's pitch batte all over and i lock up an apparently sleepy Eagle who's not seen me. blat him a few times, turns red and turns for me....at which point ALL THE OTHER EAGLES turn red and come for me too, even if they're current in battle w/ the cops!!! i mean, howay, that's not fair is it?? needless to say, i was hitting space a minute later >:-\

That's just the Eagle2 OXP. It actually says in the readme that you should be ready for a surprise if you jump to Zaonce, because that's where the Eagle 2 fighter undergoes its testing. Personally, I wasn't too happy that my first jump from Lave to Zaonce ended in my death, but it's just that one system. Removing the OXP renders the system safe once more.
