Shipdata.plist

Code: Select all

		materials =
			{
			"Mark_IX_Purg_SKIN.png" =
				{
				diffuse_map = "Mark_IX_Purg_SKIN.png";
				gloss = 0.8;
				normal_map = "Mark_IX_Purg_NORM.png";
				emission_map = "Mark_IX_LITES.png";
				specular_map = "Mark_IX_Purg_SPEC.png";
				};
			};
But some in some texture png's PURG is used...

Internet problems at the moment.

Hope to update the wiki when I can.

Just to double check - you have now published a Mk IV, a Mk VI and this Mk IX. Just the three, yes?

Thy eminence!

Your blurbs continually refer to "Damage Inc", "138th SOAR" & "Purgatori" variants. I feel that explanations of these are needed for our wiki. Is there any chance of some sort of explanation?

I am a massive fan of the Chaos! Comics character, Purgatori, you may recall my stuff originally was published to a subsection of the fansite i had dedicated to her. in the comics, she was orginially a human named Sakkara before being turned into a vampire, and later took the surname Gold, and took over a company called Isis International. My conceit was that in the Oolite side of things, this company would have expanded over the years and developed into the subsiduary Isis Interstellar. she was an extremely powerful vampire goddess [until certain writers started fkng/retconning her...don't get me started] which is why the more kick-ass ship models are called the Purgatori variant.
in the stories, her major enemy was Lady Death, who at one point lived in a castle called WinterHaven, so i incorporated that into the II mythology to make a rival company.

the Naval aspect was just something that developed as i came up w/ backstories to some of the models and explanations as to how/why II is tied to the military and has become such a formidable company. the 138th SOAR is an elite regiment based on the 160th SOAR "Night Stalkers" [see "Black Hawk Down"!], that is the main Thargoid-fighting force, and their nickname is taken from the Metallica song.

i would've liked to do a bunch of missions etc expanding all of the above, but you know how it is...lack of time and ability etc, lol.
