[Solved] Oolite 1.80 mac os x strange behaviour
I'm new on oolite world and this is the first version i try so i can't comment older versions.
Oolite run fine just on very first time, the following runs it's open the loading window and continue on it forever, the program doesn't freeze because i got response on menus.
If i try to run oolite as another user i get the same behavior.
If i try to run oolite developer i get the same behavior.
I just upgraded mac os x from 10.10.2 to 10.10.3, tried to run oolite again, first time ok and then same behavior.
Anyone could help me?
Thanks,
Marcello

Hello and welcome mmezzanotti.
While waiting for Mac support to arrive...
Remove all Oolite versions and perform a fresh clean Oolite v1.80 installation. <-- Having a single Oolite instance installed, will help troubleshooting.
Execute Oolite. This should execute fine.
Locate an Oolite file called

Re: Oolite 1.80 mac os x strange behaviour
While I hardly think I count as Mac support, I can report no problems running 1.80 under 10.10.2 or 10.10.3. Whatever the problem is, it doesn't seem to be universal.
Finding the

Looking up the error message, I found this post.
1. ZIP extraction method
I don't say that you use iZip, but could you try with BetterZip anyhow? <--- Don't forget to clean uninstall Oolite first
2. Regular MAC partition

(where "Blast" is mentioned you replace with "Oolite")Apparent Software Support - Jacob Gorban on Jun 13, 2011 @ 11:20 AM wrote:...

If yes, it might help if you deleted Blast (after quitting it) and then downloading it again from our site and opening the .zip file on a Mac partition (the same where you have /Applications), just in case.
And then launch again.

2. In my google searchs i found this post too, and did as it sugests, clean uninstall, remove prefs file (Library/Preferences/org.aegidian.oolite.plist) , and installed it again, zillions times, same behaviour.
Thanks,

Mac boffins are a bit thin on the ground unfortunately.
I would advise stilts for the quagmires, and camels for the snowy hills
