Preserving zoom level

Post by spara »

When using non-linear scanner and ultra-zoom I like to keep it at 8:1. However, every time I dock and launch it resets to 1:1 which I find quite annoying. Could it be possible to make it stick?

I kinda asked for that a while ago - I like to operate at 4:1 mostly.
I would advise stilts for the quagmires, and camels for the snowy hills
And any survivors, their debts I will certainly pay. There's always a way!

Won't somebody think of the people who've had no internet for 14 months!? What are those things?

Now that you mention it, I seem to recall you did ask for it. If it's a bad idea for the core, zoom level could be read-writable allowing an oxp solution.

Scanner zoom level should be preserved across docking, witchspace and game saves in tonights build.

Thanks! Dumb question: does that apply to normal scanner zoom, or only if ultra-zoom is enabled?

Thinking about it, that's probably not a good idea for normal zoom, because then things wouldn't be on your scanner when you might expect them to be. I've changed it to nonlinear zoom only is preserved.

That was pretty much why I asked - and I agree!
