It is quite big, but i think the zoom level in that first screenshot has distorted it a bit, here's a pic with less zoom and a sideways wireframe showing the port & tunnel mesh in white and the adteroid in black

Beautiful.

On another tack:
Would you consider using the demo track used in the con-store youtube trailer as a theme music as you approach the store?
Or is it copyrighted?

A_H, that question would be for YAH, not this thread, and for Ahruman, who used that particular music for that particular video.

If you manage to look at that video all the way to the end, I seem to remember he's already put the info about the music in there... ;)

Edit:  Oopsie, it was the info box! I retract my incorrect statement, with apologies!

You don’t have to watch it, it’s right there in the info box. No-one reads the documentation…

Since it was created less than 75 years ago, the music is indeed under copyright. In this case, the author allows it to be used without restriction.

If anyone wants to submit a decal, i'm looking for greyscale images, black areas in the design will appear fully transparent when the decal is drawn on the ship, shades of grey work as various levels of transparency and white is fully opaqe.
For quite a bit of variety i think about 16 'Pirate' designs, 16 'Trader' designs and 16 other designs that will go on bounty hunters & hermits
Are these any use to you?

Thanks Disembodied, these look great!

What sort of categories to do see these fitting into? the claw, paw & hand would these be pirates? although the hand might look cool as a bounty hunter?
what about the Celtic knotwork and moon face - traders? The Egyptian eye and the Z-ish symbol - bounty hunters & hermits?

Edit:
actually, thinking about it, i might invert the moon face if that's ok with you?

it comes out looking like this

what do you think?

Cheers, Griff. Yes, please invert the moon: that's what I was going for but I think I got myself confused with the whole solid-transparent thing ...

I hadn't really thought much about categories, but the hand, claw and paw obviously follow a theme and maybe have something aggressive about them, so probably pirates (although – as we all know ourselves – there's often a fine line between freelance bounty-hunting and piracy ...).

The knotwork thing is something I made ages ago as a possible symbol for the Co-operative: eight galaxies, eight political systems, all pulling together ... It's neutral, certainly, so probably a good trader symbol. Same with the moon (originally a sun, from an old woodcut, but with the rays it was too small and fiddly at 128x128 so I gave it a haircut).

The eye and the Oolite logo could be for hunters. The z-symbol is my variation on a Pictish symbol called, helpfully, a "double-disk and z-rod", and might mean anything:

So it could be appropriate for a hermit. Or not. Who knows? :D

Dizzie put these up a while ago .

Dumb question: how do I link to a specific post, rather than just the page?

I would advise stilts for the quagmires, and camels for the snowy hills
And any survivors, their debts I will certainly pay. There's always a way!

Right-click on the little page icon (just to the left of the "Posted: <date>" text at the top of the post) and copy the shortcut. Then use that in the url link.

That's true, I'd forgotten about that font! Definitely worth mining ...

In the meantime, here's another couple, with a bit more scuffage on them:
