Thanks Griff... now I'll be forced to eject just to see it in action.
I would advise stilts for the quagmires, and camels for the snowy hills
And any survivors, their debts I will certainly pay. There's always a way!

i tried that when testing out the oxp, i thought it would be a quick shortcut to check the exhaust plumes are positioned properly, but it doesn't work, you only see your ship floating away when you eject, i suppose it makes sense as you're now tucked up safely in the capsule awaiting rescue

This is just my personal opinion... but it looks more like a Worm than an ePod

Well, it is the second-most complex model in the core game. :-)

In the original model, the thrusters are on the bottom, not the rear. This approach probably makes it easier to avoid the Shoe Effect – it’s more like a powered equivalent of the Apollo capsule. (I guess that would be a Soyuz descent module, then…)

@ ADCK
yeah, i was wondering this too as i went along drawing the texture, not the similarity to the worm but the fact that it maybe looks to much like a proper space ship rather than an emergency life raft, to be honest it got to the point that i was glad to get the thing done and move onto something else :)

@ Ahruman, yeah, the default model has some sweet beveling going on in it :D

Either way it's a good model.

Having not tested it yet, was wondering about the scale, how big is it compared to the default ePod?

it's a bit wider and longer but not as tall - it's not as perfect a pyramid as the default escape capsule model but it's small enough to scoop easily, in fact it was a real pain trying to fly up to it to check the exhaust plumes without hoovering it up through the fuel scoop

Go on then, I've got to ask: which is the most complex model?

I've made an attempt at remaking the 'Escape Capsule' although i seem to have ended up with a ship based on what looks like a Nike trainer - this was meant to be a 2-3 day remake, something quick to do over the Christmas holidays but it turned out to be the biggest struggle of all of them so far, i appear to be getting worse at doing these instead of better
Because it looks so much like an old dap i think it needs a few screen shots to try and explain it a bit better to everyone:

When I click that link, I get something that I RARELY see (maybe once or twice in the past) (WinVista):
(I TRUST the link, but maybe the website manager needs to tweak something):
