i have installed greek ships, and i must say i love these beauties, they are powerful and a challenge
the thing is, they seem to be a handful for the vipers too! and for the spacestations for that matter- the number of times i launch and find oodles and oodles of cargo canisters, its incrdeible, and always some greeks lurking
i have also installed UPS so maybe that has something to do with it too
what i would like is for either the greek ships occur more rarely- i miss my fugitive pythons, and or the cops have some more firepower to deal with them
just looking for some pointers and iseas, not anyone to modify AI for me
ideas welcome

The greek ships don't appear to be any more damage resistant than any other ships in their size ranges. But they are nippy buggers. I've seen make what appeared to be impossible hairpin turns in a number of occasions.

If they are spawned by script, you can tune down their number by altering their script.
If they are spawned by the system populator (using generic roles like "trader"), you can tune down their number by reducing their role probabilities. Write a number between 0 and 1 in brackets behind each of the generic roles in their shipdata.plist. For instance "trader" may become "trader(0.1)", reducing their appearance drastically. (Note: there is no space between the word and the opening bracket)

thanks!
and naturally i will post on the oxp forum about this if i cant fathom what thr greek ships are up to,
now the second matter is these super system battles that keep occuring while i am docked, quite often, when i launch the place is full of cargo canisters and a few lurking greek ships, maybe a viper or two. they dont get aggressive until i have scooped a good few, and by then i can hyperspace
i mean its a nice little earner, but something must be wrong somewhere!!!
i do wonder if its the penelope frieghter and she cant dock for some reason and explodes shedding her cargo, hence the presence of the startled greek escort ships

She's probably simply too big to dock and explodes when trying. See this series of screenshots for comparison.
May have been the reason why I de-installed the Greek Ships again on my computer. Because, quite frankly, it means that the ship is buggy.
