I can see it happening very soon: Speed Run Oolite: Elite rank in 8 hours.
I recently got 5000+ kills in less than one hour

However, it might be difficult to earn the cash for a Caduceus in the remaining 7 hours ;)

What happens if you hyperspace away from Tionisla and back again? Is there a new graveyard for you to destroy?

Zaonce is close by. It should be possible to make several hops on one tank of fuel.

Hmmm, that could be tweaked - once dead - set flag to "stay_dead" and check on each jump in to the system.

Could probably be modded so that it rebuilt slowly over time should somebody be so cruel as to wipe it out with a q-mine

<spoilsport mode>And it (or the Q-bomb: not sure how the whole thing works) could be tweaked so that unpowered objects don't cascade.</spoilsport mode>

This gets better and better!

According to my calculations, you would need approximately 16 Q-mines to reach Elite, at a cost of 40000 credits. There's 2.4 light years between Zaonce and Tionisla, so you would need 76.8 ly of fuel, a total of about 400 Cr. , and then 900 Cr for the injectors, and 1500 Cr for Docking computers.

If you could get 43,000 Cr change for the Cobra at Zaonce, then I reckon on about 1h 15m to reach Elite. I guess I would need Realistic Shipyards to get this one to work, because there's nothing that gives you that amount of change on the Cobra without it.

I can't imagine either Angel or DeVille approving of such a weaselly, cowardly, low-down, cheap and downright rotten method of joining the Elite. I think a new personality is called for: 'Commander Gutter Rat' or something like that!

Commander Gutter Rat already resents that people here are proposing amendments to the Graveyard OXP that would completely p**s on his fire!

I hear that there's somebody who would. A slimy toad named Rimmer…
