windows vista Text Ballons

Post by Frame »

This is a minor annoyance, and I'm sure I can get rid of it via some setting in vista..

Every time i have Oolite running, and my windows cursor hovers over one of the open programs in the taskbar, the Ballon that pops up seems to stagger Oolite from running properly. I can of course just move the mouse. But I had a few, wth now....

There is properly no solution to this, I just thought that i would let you know here, since it happens to me again and again... of course I might be doing a lot more switching back and forth than the average user...:-)...

same thing here .. OpenGL ( using graphics card driver ) and Vista Aero don't mix in a window.
to turn off Aero ..
control panel > personalization > window colour and appearance > select colour scheme other than Vista Aero.
or for even more settings
control panel > system > advanced system settings > advanced > performance settings > visual effects > custom .. deselect destop composition and transparent glass.

a good feature for oolite would be to save window location between sessions.
Edit .. and now I see there is ..

to allow for window borders try adding
set SDL_VIDEO_WINDOW_POS=10,30
to RunOolite.bat
