Actually...don't we develop our character bettween sessions. We have all played to long and missed meals and felt the effects.
When I dock and shut down my 'ship' I have food and a warm bed waiting in the 'station' (I pay local currency for the use of it).
The odd thing is, no matter how long and how far I fly my wife is always at the space dock already...very curious.

When I step out of the Tiomat, my Widomaker travels with me. Ooh, big scary police-issue plasma discharge handblaster.
