Wow, that is so nice. Wish I still had my old SGI to try to get this running on. Is it a patch to the code, or an OXP? Where do I get it from?

It is a code modification and will be included in the next release. In the meantime, if you have access to the Oolite Subversion repository, browsable here, you can build the latest revision and try it yourself.
