thanks for the links! I've got to admit this shader malarky flies right over my poor maths deficient brain, but this brdf effect does seem like it might be a fun one to try and work out, plus if we end up with a cool looking velvet shader it might open up a profitable line in plush hugh heffner style cockpit interior oxp's!

Thanks for all the comments I love 'em all. Updated the site with more pics of other ships in the actual engine. Gonna start the big job of filling the space with AI ships! *gulp* wish me luck.
If it all goes belly up I'll be readying my Deepspace OXP instead :) ha ha.
