Yes, we're all very enthOosiastic here (sorry, sorry). If you've got the basic Oolite game (is it the basic v.1.65 or the textured planets version b dajt from
this post), then you can start with OXP's which extend the number of ships you can encounter (or buy), or even adjusting systems such as Lave.oxp, which adds elements to the space around Lave station in the vein of the 'Dark Wheel' novella from the original Elite, or Commies.oxp which alters all communist systems to a more 'Soviet' style. If you are that way inclined you can add 'non-Elite genre' ships, such as those found 'In a Galaxy far, far away'. Dr. Nil, one of our resident OXP contributors, has added a comprehensive list of presently available OXP's to the
Oolite Wiki. Browse, download and enjoy at your leisure. A word of warning, though. When installing OXP's it's best to place them in one at a time and then run Oolite, to make sure that there is no problems with interactions between the OXP's.
