ooLite community,
when examining ship stats for example;
Roll: 2.0
Pitch: 1.0
yaw...
What do these numbers mean exactly? (I have a hunch but would be happy for an official explanation ) Pitch 1.25 vs 1.00, etc.
Thanks!

'Tis a mystery. Only the supreme sacerdotes of the Church of St Giles are allowed to whisper the truths of these things, thrice a year, at the times of the Feasts of Saint Phibo Nacci.
You could try his munificent magnificence, Murgh...

Re: ship stats help
i am definitely not the keeper of the secret nor any type of engineer, so I can’t dazzle with any formula, official explanation, or any real world comparison. I just have an approximate idea of how it affects an NPC and how it affects a player ship, and my personal preferences for this.
I’d be curious to read the mechanical reasoning behind the scales, I can’t recall ever reading an explanation from Aegidian about it.
Maybe Giles remembers his original thinking. It would be cool if he popped by to share what he recalls. Maybe..
I was young, I was naïve. Jonny Cuba made me do it!
Re: ship stats help
From the code, the unit of these numbers seem to be radians per second. So if your ship has pitch 1.0, it means that it can rotate up and down with roughly 60° per second.
