My dear chap... he's been promoted to Admiral... at some stage he will direct one or two minions to mangle his miserable rock hermits, but at the moment he's quaffing pink gins at the Admiralty bar. Did you catch a glimpse of his wings?

I would advise stilts for the quagmires, and camels for the snowy hills

Splendid, ain't it! That menu was put together by Leafy (aka Fatleaf) for L' Auberge de Lago, the restaurant on Avernus Orbital, which overlooks the beautiful Neptunian gas giant Lago (Coyote's Run OXP). My only contribution was the deadly edible moth tempura.

Excuse me... Only the two courses? What is this? Is that really all he gets? The poor old Galactic Navy must be in a really bad way.... I'm sure HIMSN would fête our dear old Phkb in a far more civilised fashion...
If cousin Digby's chefs were to prepare such a lackadaisical and meagre banquet for a visiting Admiral, I can't even begin to imagine how he would react...

Judging by what I have just read, do I have to understand that no update is planned?Cholmondely wrote: ↑Mon Jun 14, 2021 6:50 amMy dear chap... he's been promoted to Admiral... at some stage he will direct one or two minions to mangle his miserable rock hermits, but at the moment he's quaffing pink gins at the Admiralty bar. Okay, got it

An update is planned. I want to do a bucket-load more of personal testing before I unleash it on the world though.JiCeyCraft wrote: ↑Mon Jun 14, 2021 5:21 pmJudging by what I have just read, do I have to understand that no update is planned?

There was only so much we could fit on a page, and still make it legible.
Even then, it wasn't easy as Oolite wanted to display it slightly blurred.
Besides, the local custom is to have several main dishes, one by one.

Progress update:
I've implemented a slightly deeper processing system. Previously, if an item required regular commodities in order to operate (eg the reactor), those commodities were required each day. I've now extended this so that one batch of processing commodities can run the device for a variable number of days.
I'm also splitting out the reliability of an item from it's damage probability stats. So, that will allow for some things to be highly likely to take damage in an attack, but not very likely to break down on it's own. Or vice-versa.
And I'm getting rid of the "auto-launch" system when life-support runs out. Instead, the station will essentially shut down and no income can be earned while life support is offline.
If I can get all this implemented by the weekend, I hope to do a bit of a play through to get a feel for it.

Humph... you can stop fooling yourself - and stop trying to change the subject... what we all really want to know is ... what was the banquet like? ...and did they give you any pudding? And did Aegidian, Ahruman or Cim turn up?phkb wrote: ↑Wed Jun 16, 2021 5:54 amProgress update:

Pudding? Surely you mean the Dark and Dismal Dessert of Digebiti.

The banquet was sumptuous, the dessert left me with indigestion. A bit rich for my tastes. It was the best of times, it was the worst of times...
