The Welcome Mat message still doesn't work with the Xenon HUD.
Strange. I just tested Welcome Mat in Xenon HUD with the latest build and it seems to work OK. Displays system info and notice of pirate activity. I don't normally use this OXP, though, so perhaps there's something specific you're not seeing.

I removed EVERY OXP except BasicDebug, XenonHUD and WelcomeMat - still nothing in the message_gui.

Very strange. There is another patch, 784dfe7, which might have some bearing on the issue. Can you try with this patch? I think the latest nightlies should have this now.

Still no luck. The last "working" release is 4b32237.

Actually, there's a newer release, 784dfe7, which I think has the solution.

Starting a new commander changes the behaviour a bit.

With only Xenon-HUD and WelcomeMat installed the message is displayed.
When CCL and BGS are installed as well the message is NOT displayed.

When using CCL, BGS, WelcomeMat and the default HUD everything works.

It seems a combination of BGS, CCL and XenonHUD causes the problem ???

Try it with BGS 2.0 and Library instead of BGS and CCL, perhaps?

BGS 2.0 and Library 1.0 unfortunately have the same issue.

<nods> BGS doesn't always play nicely with other stuff - I had problems with BGS/Library and XenonGUI a while back.

Unfortunately it's implementation issue. I'm working on it and hopefully a test exe will be up for grabs soon.

...and it WILL be down for the next couple of weeks. :(
A major network outage due to a major operation on the network infrastructure. You may call it Terrastorage Summer Spa Vacation time.

Until this is resolved, no new nightly will be built for windows and linux and oolite-update (via rsync) will not be available for both windows and linux.

The last nightly managed to pass through to github was today just before network was brought down.
The mac nightly binary, will continue to be built at oolite.org, and can be downloaded from http://oolite.org/nightly/mac/

Sorry guys 'n' gals, I had no update on when this would occur; however, I understand that I should have raised a warning flag earlier.
