Hmm, dragons > dragonriders of Pern (books by anne McCaffrey) > fire breathing teleporting creatures with a pilot > could be the description of an oolite ship.
Been a long time since i read them, can't remember what names mrs McCaffrey used for the dragons.

Another suggestion : Dragonship with plasma turret = Dragon +ball of plasma = Dragon Ball (manga)

The Coyote: mean, unreliable, prone to explosive behaviours. Approach one at your own risk. No insurance company in the 8 galaxies insure them, only the shipyard company if you personally come back to retrieve the reimbursement.

The Roadrunner: Effectively without armarment and quite fragile, but can outrun even missiles and turn on the spot in full speed. Needs an ungodly amount of fuel, though.

On other news: I changed the role weights and a little part of the world script regarding the placement of certain pirate activities...
