Surely we're in the top 40 Perhaps we've just momentarily slipped to 41. I can't believe we're not more popular than 'Tumblr' or 'Minecraft', they're well out of fashion by now, aren't they?Cody wrote:If in doubt, this can help.
At least I know it wasn't work blocking the site - heaven forbid I couldn't browse my favourite sites whilst sipping my morning caffiene fix

208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220.220 (OpenDNS) are very friendly, too.. if not as easy to remember.spud42 wrote:But when i am 8.8.8.8 is my friend...lol
Most games have some sort of paddling-pool-and-water-wings beginning to ease you in: Oolite takes the rather more Darwinian approach of heaving you straight into the ocean, often with a brick or two in your pockets for luck. ~ Disembodied

OK, that was weird - for a bit there, at around 10:00 a.m. UK time, the bb address (and aegidian.org itself) was taking me to (at least what was purporting to be) a 404 page on the London School of Public Relations website ...

Re: We're back - kinda!
That doesn't sound good - was it the LSPR in Jakarta? Or Notting Hill?

To be honest I didn't browse around - and the url being displayed was definitely the board's - but the telephone number I saw quoted on the page was a London number, and the logo on the site was the Notting Hill LSPR version.

Yeah I had that too. Fortunately just after I'd posted chapter 30 of the chronicle of shulth [shameless plug] It's a good chapter blowing the lid off the "Dark Wheel" conspiracy.Disembodied wrote:OK, that was weird - for a bit there, at around 10:00 a.m. UK time, the bb address (and aegidian.org itself) was taking me to (at least what was purporting to be) a 404 page on the London School of Public Relations website ...

Really? I thought it might have been something to do with my DNS cache, but obviously not ... something to do with someone else's DNS cache, maybe. Unless it was a failed attempt by Dark Wheel agents to suppress your chapter, and I just got caught in the crossfire.

I believe Geraldine got a similar 404 too.

Re: We're back - kinda!
The massive death toll from the Dark Wheel (if were ever used) would invalidate the need for a cover up. You don't need to cover up something that is already the (now) established nature of the universe. And it also nicely sidesteps "canon" by rendering the world that was, an unprovable fairy tale. If you live in a lie, and that lie is all you've ever know and all you can prove. Well, it makes the nature of truth some what piric at best. It's all about perspective.Disembodied wrote:Really? Yes, the Dark Wheel employing the London School of Public Relations does seem a little Steve-Jackson's-Illuminati!-esque ...
