Space Patrol Galasphere

Any chance of anyone modelling the Galasphere from the old Space Patrol children's show?

Snag is it's usually surrounded by a clear spherical force field, which I'd imagine would be a problem.

It was supposed to be a police ship. Maybe an NPC ship, an occasional alternative to Vipers?

It's a ship - I don't have actual dimensions, but you can get an idea by watching the walk-through video. The other video shows how it flies. This is a still (I think from the walk-through) that gives an very rough idea of scale

Hmm.. so that's where Raumpatrouille got the inspiration from, for the way the Orion lands on planets.. interesting. I wonder if Commander McLane knows about that.

Most games have some sort of paddling-pool-and-water-wings beginning to ease you in: Oolite takes the rather more Darwinian approach of heaving you straight into the ocean, often with a brick or two in your pockets for luck. ~ Disembodied
