It should be safe to do that, so I don't know what happened.

Maybe they were trying to convince you to go somewhere else - you know how much they try to avoid visitors there.

<grins> Indeed... very shy folk, are the Veedians. However, they do seem to offer very lucrative parcel contracts.

If I pause during ECM usage, the judder on the scanner continues. If I then go to F2 and reload a commander, on launching the judder is still going crazy.

Thanks for spotting that. Fixed in commit 02bde6c and should be OK in tomorrow's nightly.

<scatches head> I went back to check this again, but the rock hermit was no longer facing directly at the planet - does their orientation drift?

The hermit orientation isn't currently preserved across save-load.

Good fun playing with the new commodities listings. It throws a whole bunch of [oxp-standards.deprecated] and [oxp-standards.error] warnings.
Pretty much all my OXPs fall foul of them - simply warnings though, yes?

Yes. If you're not developing OXPs, you can turn them off to keep the log file clean by changing the enforce-oxp-standards hidden setting to 0.

Sorry guv'nor, but I'm having a slow-brained day (again) - where would I find the enforce-oxp-standards key?

It won't be there at all at the moment - you'll have to add it next to the existing settings.

I got those but I've been getting this too:

Code: Select all

12:55:59.196 [general.error.inconsistentState]: ***** ERROR: status is STATUS_START_GAME, but dockedStation is nil; treating as not docked. This is an internal error, please report it.
I thought it was from changing conditions for spawning an oxp station I was loading from but when I tested I got the report even if I started in strict mode. It only happens in 1.81 latest current I believe. 1.80 gives no such report in the log. Oolite loads fine and everything seems to work but I thought I should report it.

Oolite development version 1.81.0.6121-140922-306d74d (x86-64 test release) under Linux 3.5.0-45-generic

I've probably missed something in the Progress thread - but have the commodity markets at rock hermits changed?
Several of them tonight have had zero commodities available - and one system seemed to have no rock hermits.

Yes, a bit. Part of it is adjustments to the calculations necessary for the new commodity system, but should give roughly the same goods for sale as before. A few hermits have been given a different market to reflect their somewhat different visitors, but this should still always have some items available.

Did the hermits with no commodities present have a "random ship names" name attached to them?

When they have zero commodities available, do they also have zeroed prices? If so, do you have any hermit OXPs installed?

All systems should have at least one hermit somewhere; since the hermits should be consistent, if you can find a system with no hermits I should be able to go and have a look myself.
