I have been milkrunning Diso and Leesti for some time but now everywhere I go there are Thargoids attacking the Station as I dock in and out. Diso, Leesti, Lave, Zaonce... I am getting better at docking under fire but all I want is to trade peacefully. What's the matter?
A most valuable skill to acquire, is that.. and you've cunningly found a method that doesn't involve a criminal record.. well done!
Most games have some sort of paddling-pool-and-water-wings beginning to ease you in: Oolite takes the rather more Darwinian approach of heaving you straight into the ocean, often with a brick or two in your pockets for luck. ~ Disembodied

I wouldn't go as far as calling that a method. Let's just say that I don't get killed 100% of the times.

I am going to try planetfalling at an adequate planet.
Edit: Oh, boy. I still haven't bought the license.
Edit: Zaonce Station under attack. I could dock but I didn't have enough money for Planetary Landing Capability.
Edit: Same problem with a new game and a new install. I removed all OXPs and the Thargoids went away. I'll put back the OXPs one by one and I'll tell you if any OXP seems to be involved in the incident.

When trying to identify which OXP is causing problems, the binary method saves a lot of time..
Remove half the OXPs. If problem goes away, change to the other half of the set and try again.
Continue removing half the OXPs each time, eliminating the half that are trouble-free. Repeat until you have identified the culprit.
Even if you have hundreds of OXPs, this method will let you identify the source of the trouble in less than 10 iterations.

Great tip. I assumed that some OXP were working properly since they have been with me for quite a time and I examined the new ones more carefully. To my surprise, the problem came from Telescope_0.85.oxp. I double checked. If you're interested in my saves or anything please tell me.
Thank you!
... is an older experimental version designed specifically for play testing and development.
The best thing for an test oxp is the addition of an [wiki]OXPMessages.plist[/wiki] inside the OXP. This will put an annoying message on the startup screen, telling the player he is working with a test versions of an oxp. This helps preventing the use of that oxp outside testing purposes.
I would like to ask how you managed to install exatcly the 0.85 version. I put it into the oldversions folder of my box when there are newer versions in the same folder also so I do not known why you missed these. Maybe we can prevent others to make the same mistake if you remember what was the false way.
Hi Agis Silverfish! I would like to ask how you managed to install exactly the 0.85 version..
I think I clicked too quickly and I didn't notice that I had opened the Older Versions folder. Sorry for all the trouble. I'll be more careful next time.
