Ah-ha! I didn't notice to save my game after storing the configuration... Thank you! That did the trick. Now I can hear the Dalek commanding me "Docking authorization denied, leave now or be exterminated!" :D

Error with BGS-A1.6_r66.oxp

Just testing stuff out, followed a Boa and it's 4 escorts through a wormhole, immediately started firing on the Boa at the other side. All 4 escorts turned around as the Boa went bang and opened fire on me. I died.

Now the interesting bit. I had this error displayed in the console (and logfile) over 100 times.

Code: Select all

Exception: Error: Cannot set property orientation of instance of VisualEffect to invalid value undefined.
    bgs_exitWormhole_effect.js, line 19:
    	else this.visualEffect.orientation = player.ship.orientation;
Living isn't the only state that brings results.

Same as this... did you upload a fixed version, Svengali? Or were you waiting on bandwidth?
I would advise stilts for the quagmires, and camels for the snowy hills
And any survivors, their debts I will certainly pay. There's always a way!

Ah! I knew there was a thread for Svengali's trunk stuff. Just couldn't remember where.

Heh. No. Bandwidth returned as expected, although it's already at 30% again. But I'm currently in the process of getting rid of the used overlays in BGS. As I can't simply merge them with the background pics (wouldn't work in both modes inflight/docked) it needs some pixelwork. The idea is to leave some more room for other OXPs.

Having a bit of trouble with the oxp.

After installing several alternative voices, I found that they somehow broke compatibility with your tunnel shader effect
.
After days of scouring through code and documentation, I think I found the problem-the provided vochal countdown is somehow tightly linked to the effect-any attempt to modify it will somehow result in bgHyperFX being set to false and the effect removed from view. I have scoured both your code and the code for the other vocal countdown effect, but I cannot find a way to sever this link for my own personal use. I even tried moving the audio files and renaming them so it looked to the code as if nothing had been touched-no success. I am completely lost. Any ideas?

After sorting it (see https://bb.oolite.space/viewtopic.php?f= ... 7&start=37)

BGS 1.5.2 is online.

Changes:
- Decoupled settings .bgsDisableJump and .bgsHyperFX.
- Patches for Customsounds, Halsis and Hawksound are updated (Cornys Captain Berf Pilot will follow).

The patches should work in v1.5.x and v1.6.

I just listened to the additional chatter in BGS-Test. Image
Most games have some sort of paddling-pool-and-water-wings beginning to ease you in: Oolite takes the rather more Darwinian approach of heaving you straight into the ocean, often with a brick or two in your pockets for luck. ~ Disembodied

This comment made me download it.

One question. What are the "teststations" mentioned in the readme?

Just 4 stations spawned close to the main station with different BGS settings. The whole purpose of this OXP is to test mechanisms in BGS and to show how settings can be applied to other OXPs stations + playerships and to demonstrate entry points in BGS script. It has no meaning for players.

Yes, I saw them. However they were at the witchpoint when I jumped into a system.

Yep. This and a few other things are also in the test-OXP, e.g. the stations are rotated to the player on launching and entering a new system.

New patches for Customsounds, Halsis and Hawksound are available. Will send the new patch to Corny for his Captain Berf Pilot.

Changes:
- Fix for Customsounds "[mine-armed]". Sound was missing - set to BGS own sound.
- For for Halsis "[cloaking-device-off]","[cloaking-device-on]". Sound was missing - set to BGS own sound.
- For for Halsis "[hold-full]","[witchdrive-malfunction]". Corrected misspelled filename.
- Fix for misspelled filename in all patches "[galactic-hyperspace-countdown-begun]" and "[hyperspace-countdown-begun]".

The patches should work in BGS 1.5.x and v1.6+.

And while I was at it OXPConfig got a new feature to log the declared sounds (only keys supported by Oolite).

BGS1.6 is online.

BGS has got a new team member. It is a pleasure to welcome you, Thargoid .-)

Changes:
- VisualEffect for the jump sequence with a new shader. The new effect is handled through CCL.
- Added cleaned pics for long_range_chart_mission and short_range_chart_mission which are used on interface screens.
- Uses the new interface structure (4 new pics and 2 new sounds).
- Added effect for wormhole exit (Thargoids nice idea).
- Joystick jitter handling now configurable.
- Updated BGS-Test. Ships now a map for the LongRangeChart.

For users of the Beta version: It's probably worth to get this version (at least if your box supports shaders)...
