Re: Griff's normalmapped ship remakes
I have revised the shipdata for the Griff_Shipset_Replace_v1.0.oxp and thrown it on the box for download. Just open your copy of the OXP and replace its shipdata with mine.
Among other things I have given unique roles to all ships contained, added the worm-miner that was missing (by like_shipping it to the worm), and fixed a couple of bugs and oddities. I hope that I caught them all, but there are no guarantees. Anyway, it's much closer to the original shipdata than it was before.

Thanks, McLane.
I would advise stilts for the quagmires, and camels for the snowy hills
And any survivors, their debts I will certainly pay. There's always a way!

Re: Griff's normalmapped ship remakes
Is there a chance to incorporate it into the actual download?
Edited to add: I linked to the patch from the downloads on the Wiki

Re: Griff's normalmapped ship remakes
I'm happy to make it part of the download. Whoever owns the Griff_Shipset_Replace_v1.0.oxp has my permission to include 'my' shipdata in v1.1.maik wrote:Is there a chance to incorporate it into the actual download?

Re: Griff's normalmapped ship remakes
Hi Guys, thanks for bugfixing the oxp Cmdr Mclane, i've uploaded v1.1 of the oxp with the fix inside and updated the links in this thread and on the wiki
Those ice asteroids that didn't quite work in the same oxp, i thought these could get reworked as the cinders that now get left behind in a system after a super nova - they just need to look a lot less like ice and more like glass
Oh, i'd forgotten about those - i'll have to ressurect them - i meant to make a secret asteroid with glowing moss hidden messages on it...El Viejo wrote:Are your Glowmossteroids available, Griff? They're not boring!

Re: Griff's normalmapped ship remakes
(finally) added in dodo in the same style as the Coriolis (looks a bit like football) - it's not included in the all-in-1 bundle oxp, you have to add it in as one of the 'standalone' oxps that go with this ship pack)
The OXP is available in fullsize and halfsize texture versions (halfsize has had the final texture maps scaled down 50% and resaved - not sure if this actually make the maps quarter the size of the original, anyway, too late to rename the files now)
Download is hosted at my box.net account http://www.box.com/shared/rpkms25cc9
Filesizes
Fullsize texture version - 25MB
Halfsize texture version - 7MB
Phew, finaly got this one done - what a slog!
Thanks for sorting out the wiki dates for the bundle oxp Maik, i wasn't sure what it was supposed to be changing so i just did nothing

Looks great! Nice to have all looking coherent nowGriff wrote:(finally) added in dodo in the same style as the Coriolis (looks a bit like football) - it's not included in the all-in-1 bundle oxp, you have to add it in as one of the 'standalone' oxps that go with this ship pack)
I'd like to change the date in the [wiki]OXP List[/wiki] whenever there is a change to one of your models, be it in the all-in-one or in individual downloads. Unfortunately, I seem to fail quite badly with that because some files on your box account sometimes get newer dates without there being a post here. So I actually only see it when I actually go over to your box and take a look. Which almost never happensGriff wrote:Thanks for sorting out the wiki dates for the bundle oxp Maik, i wasn't sure what it was supposed to be changing so i just did nothing

Re: Griff's normalmapped ship remakes
I'm speechless Griff, the full size texture is stunning in game. Thank you so much for all your time an effort that you put into these ships, stations etc. Appreciated by all mate!
