Missile launch positions on Thargoids in 1.76.0.4675

Installed the current nightly, 1.76.0.4675, and was testing the new Enhanced Misjump OXP by cim, which works very well.

Got to interstellar space, surrounded by Thargoids and the Navy. Got destroyed as normal! :oops:

Checked my log, found the following errors:

Err, no. The Only thargoids in trunk are Thargoid Warship & Thargoid Robot Fighter. Thargoid Battleship is from an OXP.

You will find the Battleship is from Thargorn Threat. Check you have the latest update 1.5. If not replace the

With

 "missile_launch_position" = "0.0 -46.0 91.0";  
in the shipdata.plist and it will fix the error.

Not sure this change will fix it. I have version 1.5 loaded and I have checked shipdata.plist the value of
"missile_launch_position" is set to "0.0 -46.0 91.0" the only place that 0.0 0.0 -25.5 appears is
"aft_eject_position" = "0.0 0.0 -25.5";

Yet I am seeing

I wonder whether there is another OXP with a Thargoid Battleship.

I think the older versions of Thargorn Threat had the missile launch position as 0, 0, -25.5. It was something that was changed a while ago. I used to get those errors all the time and once I updated the oxp they stopped. As far as I am aware there is no another OXP with a Thargoid Battleship. But I could be wrong of course!

EDIT: If you look at the history in the Wiki it states it fixed the wrong launch position.

Interesting I have just made the following change in Thargorn Threat version 1.5

and replayed the scenario. No errors about missile launches, this is very odd -- is this actually an error in Oolite itself where the wrong value is being tested.

Did you fight with them. I used to go into interstellar space quite a lot. So there was loads of them. And it would soon show up with all that activity. I wonder if JazHaz is using the latest update or an older one.

I don't have Thargorn Threat, but I do have Galactic Navy, and there is a Thargoid Battleship in that OXP.

Is it 5.4.3? I have never noticed Gal Navy having a Thargoid Battleship before :oops:

That has the missile launch position and the aft eject position as the same. I have not had these errors since updating Thargorn Threat! Strange...

I have looked in the Gal Navy texture folder and there is no texture for a Thargoid Battleship.... This doesn't make sense?

You're right, there isn't. But there is a model .dat and the entries in shipdata.plist.

Maybe there is a "likeship" reference somewhere?
