Yay. Daddyhoggy and I walked from Bank to there last time as the tube was knackered. A reasonable stroll as I recall, not added by the dodgy GPS on my phone!

If anyone is coming from the City end of town, a pre-meet rendezvous may be in order...

Cheers.

Drew.
So what your saying is a pre-pint pint! :D
May I join you for that one please.

We also gave some very dodgy directions to a very lost lady!

I'm supposed to go up to Du Montford Uni for a PhD viva (a student not my own!) on the 16th - but as the door wedge thesis has only just arrived in my pigeon hole I'm hoping to try off until after Christmas. So I still plan on being there. So I'd be up for coming into London and making a day of it and having a pre-drink drink...

I have confirmed with my orbit space commissioner that I have clearance to travel on the 16th. As a result I will peg the launch date of 'Finis' to the same day and I'll contrive some way of connecting my laptop and phone in such a manner that we can have a "grand pressing of the button" at some point in the evening. Celebratory lasers to be provided by all attendees.

Huzzah!

Cheers,

Drew.

Damn, sounds like it's going to be a fun evening. Unfortunately a certain Grand Admiral Starfleet Controller Mrs Murphy has the temerity to make that her birthday weekend. I don't fancy a Court Martial followed by indefinite exile to the garden shed so....

Have a beer for me. :D

I'm working on a small surprise. (can't have drew steeling all the thunder) I'm not telling anyone what it is just in case I fail to port it from brain to reality.

Well that's easy:
To make hard, strong, or obdurate; strengthen: He steeled himself for disappointment.

So to steel thunder is to take something with a pedigree and to embellish it with qualities it hitherto did not have.

See? Even my failures are pure brilliance. :D

So, according to you, Drew is on the same level as deities such as Hephaestus and Vulcan, who can literally forge voltaic arcs. Way to go, Drew!!!
You know those who, having been mugged and stabbed, fired, dog run over, house burned down, wife eloped with best friend, daughters becoming prostitutes and their countries invaded - still say that "all is well"?
I'm obviously not one of them.

It has been noted for many a year, that I can take sycophancy to a near transcendental level.

Well, I try, folks. And then ten minutes later when I've got my breath back, I try again.

Just out of curiosity... Who is Anna Mereso, and what is the discount for?

With apologies to Snoopers!
I would advise stilts for the quagmires, and camels for the snowy hills
And any survivors, their debts I will certainly pay. There's always a way!

Fab!

Cheers,

Drew.

ps. Anna Mereso (as originally featured in Status Quo and Mutabilis) is the Editor in Chief of the Tionisla Chronicle, which is also featured in the Snoopers OXP as El Viejo has deftly illustrated! Why am I after a discount? Truth is, I don't know!
