we seem to be getting very snippy about names of late. there seems to suddenly be a spate of complaints that ships don't look like their namesakes. guess that means every single one of my creations is in trouble.
don't think the machine pistol namesake looks much like a S"k"orpion either, but that seems to be of little concern to the people holding it, or indeed the people getting it pointed at them.

50% completed freighter called the "Piton" (pronounced as a Frenchmen would). May change the name it being so close in spelling to the Python. Dimensions = 176 x 45 x 180. It is no fun modeling from scratch so the source .dat file was the Constrictor.

Finally got round to putting an initial OXP together for the the draven range of ships and the Oodulldoff Station. You can find it here http://www.box.net/shared/hquygx4kq0paa1ey03mi have a go - tear it/them apart and throw bricks, provided it is done in the best possible taste.

The Piton strongly reminds me the FE2/FFE Tiger Trader. Even though the manual described it in most degrading terms, I liked it very much and considered it as the Asp's bigger cousin.
