I just opened the reference sheet again with Adobe Reader (must be over a year since I last used it). It shows the document at 94.5% by default on my screen. When I enlarge it to 100%, the _ symbol disappears. Only enlarging it at 400% brings it back. That is the same value mentioned by El Viejo. Seems that Adobe Reader is consistent between platforms after all :D

My normal pdf reader has this problem not.

It still requires pause - we want to still avoid even the slightest risk of HUD & radar disappearing in the heat of battle... :)

That's exactly what I'd like to do... flick one button and disappear it! Close-quarters dogfights are 'interesting' without the hud!
I would advise stilts for the quagmires, and camels for the snowy hills
And any survivors, their debts I will certainly pay. There's always a way!
