- ...or buy a Fighter Ship with good shields and the like and do some beginner`s random hits mission. But this comes at the price of exclusion of any other career path - until the very first trading/courier/fighter scheme enables the beginner to re-buy a ship with more options - or just more of the same.
Is that why I haven't been attacked on my cargo mission by anyone since I bought the 150 ton Strelka Cruiser ?
**** EDIT **** problem solved - save/load save game problem.

LOL. I've been away from Oolite for a few years, but someone recently tracked me down and asked me to repost the Über.Commander McLane wrote:Actually, a ship so uber that it probably hasn't been matched since was at the very beginning of the uber-line. It is only so obscure that most people here on the board may never have heard of it. It's called Uber Mk.1337 (the NPC Uber HAX0R) and came in the imaginatively named uber.oxp.
Sadly, Oosat is dead, so I put it at http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?t5727ca10llmzw2
I see that new OXPs use a bracket-based syntax instead of XML. Do the older OXPs still work?

Welcome back, frankie!frankie wrote:I see that new OXPs use a bracket-based syntax instead of XML. Do the older OXPs still work?
Plists could always be in XML or OpenStep. OpenStep has become more of the standard lately, but XML still works.

Re: Ship Rationalisation / Balancing Project
I hope we have some ship balancing in Oolite 2.
I don't like Oolite Extended, it would be nice to have 'balance fixes' for the more popular OXPs...

I think I tried to enter in this subject some days ago, suggesting the use of AI assistance for classifying and defining rules for the balancing of the ships. It was a suggesting that received mixed comments.
Good luck

There is no theory of evolution. Just a list of creatures Chuck Norris has allowed to live.

Yes, you did and I was very grateful for it and I hope it's used in Oolite 2 too.Makandal wrote:I think I tried to enter in this subject some days ago, suggesting the use of AI assistance for classifying and defining rules for the balancing of the ships.
