When playing with the speak feature, the game locks up hard at random moments, requiring me to force-kill it. Figures that nothing about it is written in the log.
With the speak feature disabled, the game runs smoothly.

Male or female voice; tried them both. Default language; turns out to be English. Time is totally random; can be anywhere between a couple of minutes to an hour or more.another_commander wrote:What voice, gender and language are you using? How long does it usually take before the crash happens?
And it's not a crash, it's a hard freeze. All action suddenly stops, and the game fails to respond to input.
Since it fails to make a log entry about it, I can't give you any more than what I've observed. Sorry.

I think you're on the right track.
I had one sudden crash to desktop with the above replacement exe, but that could be windows. The sudden freezes, however, have went away.
